The Italian Bowl

Newtown is a place that just keeps on getting more vibrant, which is an amazing feat considering the vibrancy already. That said, sometimes it’s good to revisit the classics.

The Italian Bowl has been around for a little while, offering up pasta, lasanga, and schnitzel, among a few other things. It feels a little like a slice of Italy, always bustling, alfresco style, yet a fun demeanor. Service is fast and good, with bar style ordering.

Pasta was of course on the menu, with Gemma going for a Cabonara, while I went for a calabrese (Chorizo and Olives is a classic mix). Both were pretty fantastic, full of flavour and my ‘large’ conquered me about halfway through! Good thing they let you take the leftovers.

All in all, this is a great lunch experience, and with quick service, you can be in and out in 30 minutes if that’s your thing.
